Traphagen School celebrates student writing

Parents and students filled the gymnasium at Traphagen School for a unique experience. An interactive writing experience took place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, that allowed parents and family members to work together.

The event began with students sharing their writing out loud with their peers, parents, and family members.

Along the gymnasium walls, students' writing was displayed to create a gallery walk. Here, parents were able to read and edit students’ personal narratives and give them feedback on post-it notes.

"Our parents were happy to be a part of the writing celebration as our students' voices resonated throughout the gymnasium as they shared their personal narratives," said Principal Carol Quinones-Dixon.
